About Eastern EventsEastern Events was established in 1990 when John Wootten was asked to help organise the Aylsham Show in Norfolk. He was soon approached by the National Trust at Blickling Hall to become involved in their event management and from there the business has grown and expanded. Today, Eastern Events encompasses event management as well as the organisation of our own craft shows. Eastern Events is run and managed by John, Charlotte and Will Wootten. Will is NEBOSH qualified for event management. Our sub-contract event management activities at country houses and other venues throughout the country include car park management, logistics, site management and build as well as the day to day running of events. These have included concerts at venues such as Audley End and Holkham Hall, the Cambridge 800 celebrations, car park management for the hugely popular snowdrop days at Anglesey Abbey, the Hampton Court Flower Show and the ice rink at the Natural History Museum as well as a host of smaller events. Our craft fairs have become popular favourites at a number of venues such as Hyde End, Buckinghamshire, Calke Abbey, Derbyshire, Chilford Vineyard near Cambridge and Blickling Hall in Norfolk and regularly attract a wide variety of high quality and interesting stallholders. Meanwhile, in 20 years, the clock has gone full circle as John has now been appointed Head Steward for the Aylsham Show.
